ICSM 2026 is committed to celebrating outstanding student(*) contributions through both Poster and Oral Presentation Awards. Students wishing to apply for the Student Award must submit an extended abstract in addition to their standard conference abstract. The extended abstract should be no longer than three pages in A4 format.

(*) In accordance with international guidelines, postdoctoral researchers are not considered students.

Submit your extended abstract after the acceptance notification

A total of 5 best Posters and 5 best Oral presentations will be awarded.

• USD 400 for Oral presentation
• USD 300 for Poster presentation

In addition, all awarded students will receive a certificate.

The presentations will be evaluated by a committee according to the criteria described below:

• Depth of understanding of the research topic;
• Thoroughness of the applicant´s research;
• Originality and independence of the applicant´s contribution;
• Overall quality of the presentation;
• Quality of the extended abstract.
